Lead DevSecOps Engineer – Innovative Secure Software Provider – Remote, UK

Our client – a leading provider of unique secure software for highly secure environments – is seeking a skilled Lead DevSecOps Engineer to build, test, and maintain secure software infrastructure. You will be responsible for containerising software, automating security processes, and ensuring compliance throughout the development lifecycle in an Agile environment. This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices, ensuring security is embedded at every stage of development.
- Design, build, and maintain secure development environments, including cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure.
- Automate security measures within CI/CD pipelines to enforce compliance and reduce risk.
- Develop, test, and release secure product installations, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
- Implement security controls such as encryption, identity management, and access control within the development process.
- Integrate threat analysis, vulnerability scanning, and patching to proactively mitigate risks and minimize vulnerabilities.
- Manage and maintain product build materials, ensuring secure backup, version control, and proper archiving of documentation and source code.
- Oversee solution releases, ensuring smooth deployments while maintaining security and compliance standards.
- Create and maintain installation packages, ensuring compatibility and stability across different environments.
- Work closely with development and operations teams to promote security best practices and ensure seamless integration of DevSecOps methodologies.
- Monitor and enhance system performance, troubleshooting issues and optimising security configurations.
- Contribute to incident response and remediation plans to address security threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
Skills Required
- Experience: 3+ years in DevSecOps.
- Skills: Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Python, AWS, Linux.
- Attributes: Strong communicator, team player, hands-on approach, ability to mentor, strategic thinker.
- Requirements: Right to Work in the UK, willingness to complete DBS Security Clearance.
- Degree: Computer Science (or similar) at 2.1 or above.
