Services from Acumin now available via G-Cloud

Acumin is now listed among the suppliers of cyber security services in the G-Cloud catalogue.

The information security and risk management recruitment specialist was recently confirmed as a service provider with G-Cloud. Acumin is positioned to  deliver flexible, short or long-term resources for ensuring compliance with the standards set out by HMG Information Assurance, and encouraging greater resilience in cyber security and cloud architectures.

The initiative aims to make the procurement of cloud-reliant information technology services easier for public bodies in various departments of the UK Government. The move stands in support of strong InfoSec practices within government projects, as well as privacy in the public sector.

The G-Cloud framework offers the CloudStore – an online catalogue that contains details on more than 13,000 services from a repertoire of 1,200 trustworthy service providers. Entities eligible for making purchases on the marketplace include all departments within the government, as well as local authorities and devolved administrations.

As the importance of cyber security concerns at a government level increases with reports elsewhere of data theft, DDoS attacks and other issues, the Crown Commercial Services continues to make a number of high profile additions to the G-Cloud catalogue. Alongside Acumin’s vital recruitment services, the catalogue recently saw hosted VoIP solutions provider 8X8 added, as well as e-invoicing specialist Tungsten. Further, IT services provider Capita announced earlier this week that its Productivity Hub is now available through the CloudStore.

In May this year, it was reported that spending via the G-Cloud service had reached £191.6m, up from £180m in April.
