Security Solutions Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits 

Location: UK (Remote)

A UK headquartered, award winning cyber security start-up are looking to continue their ambitious growth objectives with the appointments of two Solutions Engineers in the UK. 

This well funded company have a unique SaaS proposition which is recognised by Gartner as a market leading technology located in the cross section between big data and data science. 

Reporting to the VP Customer Success, the Solutions Engineer will be a trusted technical advisor and contributor, working closely with customers to oversee the smooth implementation and running of this reputable SaaS based technology. 

The Role

The Solutions Engineer will work closely with customers, acting as a trusted resource with specific responsibility for:

• Technical ownership of the software development life cycle
• Building, configuring and monitoring of new requirements, testing, validation and deployment of the SaaS platform
• Providing support to customers during the testing phases
• Driving improvements in the release process, identifying and removing technical roadblocks
• Presenting technical ideas and updates to customers

Requirements

To be suitable for this role, the Solutions Engineer will be required to have the following experience, skills and attributes. 

• Unix / Linux Environments including basic admin and scripting. 
• Ansible
• Hadoop (including Hive, Spark)
• Gitlab
• Proven experience in code configuration to suit customer requirements
• Ability to identify, locate and mend technical defects
• Used to working both autonomously and in teams with strong technical experience
• At least 2 years’ experience in software development, customer delivery or technical delivery.
• Bachelor Degree in one of the following or a closely related field: Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences, Statistics.
