The Role:


  • Development and production of documentation for an Input Validation and Encoding Framework.
  • Produce framework with usage guidelines for provision to development teams.
  • Implement and expand on OWASP's ESAPI.
  • Create API libraries for additional development technologies including Java (JEE, JSF, JavaScript), C#, .NET, and ASP.NET
  • Produce appropriate materials to support the Input Validation and Encoding Framework, for use by development and QA teams. These will include sample code, a wiki, and FAQ.
  • Get involved in implementing the framework in to pilot projects in order to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Ensure the ongoing use of the framework internally.


Requirements:


  • Previous experience of developing application security, or background in designing and coding security functions within applications.
  • Background of developing and testing apps and/or web apps using SQL, JavaScript, and other relevant languages.
  • Relevant vendor or industry certifications (e.g. MS, Oracle, .NET, CISSP, CISM, CISA); or equivalent working experience.
  • Prior exposure to OWASP ESAPI or Fortify Source Code Reviews would be highly desirable.
