This financial services organisation is looking to bring an additional Security Operations Specialist in to its security team. The role will see you act in a BAU capacity as part of a larger compliance piece, but also input in to a range of projects on an on-going basis.

The Security Operations Specialist will have responsibilities that include:
• daily delivery of the security operations function
• active monitoring of network security
• key management
• managing security incidents and events
• ensure identification and mitigation of operational risk
• perform BAU/security admin duties
• deliver any upgrades to security infrastructure
• conduct investigations in to incidents

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
• practical knowledge of regulatory compliance: PCI-DSS and Data Protection Act
• background in IT security operations/admin/BAU function
• experience of using applicable security technology:
o SIEM, e.g. Arcsight
o IDS, e.g. Snort; or HIDS, e.g. Tripwire, OSSEC
o Firewalls (preferably IP filtering)
o Vulnerability scanners, e.g. Nessus, Nmap
o HSMs
• understanding of multiple OS: Windows, Unix (Solaris), Linux
• experience of working with databases (desirable): Oracle, MS SQL, SQL, etc
