Liverpool firms discuss business continuity
23/06/2010
A number of companies in Liverpool have signed up to a business continuity forum so members can discuss their experiences of dealing with disasters.
Set up by Liverpool City Council, the creation of the Liverpool Business Continuity Management Forum coincides with a number of events aimed at boosting awareness of business continuity management.
Speaking to the Liverpool Daily Post, councillor Tim Moore, environment cabinet member, said: "Businesses can be hit by a whole variety of unexpected happenings.
"We are encouraging local firms to take business continuity seriously and develop plans to give them the best chance of remaining unscathed during a crisis."
According to Boosh News, having an effective backup system is an excellent front-line defence against possible IT security business continuity issues.
Reliable server backup, the website claimed, will allow a business to continue to function with minimal amounts of disruption during a server failure or security breach.
