Bluetooth popularity 'increasing among drivers'
06 October 2008
Bluetooth hands-free kits are becoming more popular with drivers as a result of their increasing sophistication, it has been proposed.
Johan C van Os, sales manager at TE-Group, said: "We are seeing people change from lower-quality device to a higher-quality device, especially due to noise reduction technology."
The comments may be of interest to those working in IT sales jobs, seeking to identify current consumer trends in order to maximise sales margins.
Mr van Os added that drivers can expect their Bluetooth hands-free kits to function reliably, due to the requirements of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.
He added: "Before you can make a product with the Bluetooth name it has to meet approvals and pass tests
otherwise you are not allowed to use the word Bluetooth [in conjunction with the product]."
According to research from market research firm ABI Research, published on September 4th 2008, Bluetooth technology will quickly become a critical feature of mobile internet devices.
