Online IT marketing 'will continue to perform'

Any brand or business can benefit from boosting its profile online to make full use of the digital IT marketing channels on offer, it has been suggested.
Karin von Abrams, senior analyst at eMarketer, said: "The web is definitely taking on a central role in marketing activity for virtually all brands."
"Agencies are increasingly adept at truly integrated campaigns, using TV or mobile for example, to drive online engagement," she explained.
Good news for those working in IT marketing and sales is that the UK's search IT marketing sector increased in growth by ten per cent over the past 12 months, according to research from Efficient Frontier.
Cost-per-click (CPC) rates were down significantly over the same period.
Despite this, all the major search engines saw a slight increase in CPC rates for the first time in five quarters.
Rates rose between three and eight per cent in the second quarter of the year compared with in Q1.
