Marketing 'must make use of emerging IT technologies'
01/03/2010
Organisations have been urged to employ IT sales and marketing experts to integrate emerging technologies into advertising campaigns.
Businesses that fail to update their storage and availability systems to integrate emerging IT technologies into their marketing strategy will not "move with the times", according to the Direct Marketing Association (DMA).
Commercial director at the organisation Kevin Dendy highlighted the importance of using new technology to help improve marketing emerging from the recession.
He said: "Ten years ago you didn't have any email or anything like that at all.
"You need to fully integrate technologies - it's an absolute must and absolutely key to driving forward in future."
Research by the DMA published in January indicated that using TV advertising campaigns in combination with traditional and online marketing can help to maximise campaign results.
Integrating marketing media channels can also generate significantly higher levels of consumer response.
