Presales Consultant
The presales consultant will provide support to the sales activities in the context of pre-sales assignments with resellers and distributors (VARs, system integrators) and major accounts in EMEA.
General responsbilities will include:
* Sales support
* Creation of RFP/RFI responses
* Technical assistance for the sales team
* Brief and assist resellers, distributors and system integrators
* Generation and delivery of prospect specific presentations
* Qualifying customer needs, architecting and advocating propositions around products and services
Further activities:
* Field Marketing
Identify what the market wants to buy and feed it back to the Sales, Marketing and Product Management teams.
Build value propositions around the solution that address the market demand.
- Solution evangelisation / lobbying
- White paper / support material development
- Participate in exhibitions and tradeshows
* Technical Account Management
Ensure ongoing contract for large accounts during in and in between projects.
Maximise long term account potential with the Account Management team.
- Project Implementation Support
- Primary for Proof of Concept
- Occasionally work within a Professional Service framework
Requirements:
* Good presentation skills
*Networking experience (design of LAN/WAN infrastructure, site survey, experience with routing, packet filtering, Protocols Analyzer Tools)
* Application development experience (.Net, Java, J2EE, XML, HTML, WebSphere, JBOSS or Weblogic, Java RMI)
* Crypto and security experience ideal (HSM, smartcards, strong authentication, IdM, etc…)
* Experience in pre-sales support (ideally in the area of networking or security technologies) to large accounts (directly or via partners)
