Pre-Sales Consultant, Benelux (home-based)
Key Responsibilities
• Pre-sales resource for the team, in terms of:
o Managing the technical life-cycle of sales opportunities
o Acting independently of the sales team to engage with customers and prospects to facilitate revenue generation and customer satisfaction
o Ensure the team has adequate product and competitor knowledge to maximize the effectiveness of their respective roles
o Act as Technical focal point for Distributor/Reseller
o Act as a conduit for the team into more technical areas of the business such as Product management, support and engineering where appropriate
• The activities can cover (but not limited to):
o Working alongside Sales Personnel, arrange Consultancy/Implementation work
o Deliver training programmes, ensuring company standards are maintained, as required
o Organise and perform audits of Distributors and Premium Partners
o Act as escalation point for Distributors and Resellers
o Arrange Workshops and technical briefings
o Sell new Partner program into channel
o Organise regular meetings with Partner technical contacts
o Producing technical notes for customer and channel partners on technical aspects of products
o Demonstration of products
o Presentation of products at events
o Provide management with weekly reporting
o Contribute to exceeding monthly sales targets
• Maintain an accurate journey plan on the company Sales Diary
Technical skills required
• E-mail System knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Competent with Microsoft NT and associated architecture
• A good understanding of the fundamentals of IP networking, including SMTP, DNS
• Familiar with electronic messaging concepts
• Knowledge of IIS and SQL an advantage
• Should understand the principles and functions of
o MIME
o PKI
o HTTP and HTTPS
o Basic FTP Skills
o Networking – TCP/IP
• Information Security
Desired Skills
• MCSE / CISSP
• Experience of training delivery
Personal Skills
• Team player
• Must hold a current driving license.

• Strong personal presence, capable of engaging senior management
• Good blend of business/commercial, sales and technical skills
• Understands the market issues and trends affecting the IT Security business and differentiators versus the competition
• Language skills: able to communicate at a business level in English and Dutch
• Self-starter who is pro-active, energetic, flexible, creative, with lots of initiative and a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
• Results-driven with strong goal-orientation
